Three major home builders are planning future developments following the purchase of 61 acres of Marbella Ranch. Per Real Estate Daily, the sale totaled $5,187,000. 

KB Homes purchased 84 lots, Lennar Homes purchased 88 lots, and Meritage Homes purchased 82 lots in the master-planned community located at the corner of El Mirage Road and Glendale Avenue in Glendale. All three companies have plans for single-family homes and also have the option to purchase additional parcels in the future. 

Marbella Homes, co-owned by Brian Hegardt and John Wittrock, closed on the site in 2014 with plans to build over 1,200 homes across the 252-acre property. The development is near both the Solare Ranch and Capistrano South neighborhoods. Also, the close proximity to the Glendale Loop 101 Entertainment District, which includes the University of Phoenix Stadium and Gila River Arena, makes it a potentially popular destination for home buyers.
