Getting around Venice will be a little bit easier soon. The Metro along with the City of Los Angeles will launch their latest bike-share program in the recreational oceanside neighborhood on Thursday, Sept. 7. The public transit company and the city strategically chose several popular destinations for their stations to better accommodate both locals and visitors.

Per The Source, the Metro will install 15 bike share stops around Venice with a total of 165 Metro bikes. The program allows cyclists easy travel to popular locations such as Venice Beach Boardwalk, Abbot Kinney, Muscle Beach, Rose Avenue, Downtown Santa Monica Expo Line, the Marvin Braude Bike Trail, and much more.

Earlier this year, the Metro extended their bike share system by launching a bike hub in Hollywood as well as adding several bike-share stations throughout Pasadena and the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro.

The Metro plans on expanding their bike-share stations throughout the region. To attend the Venice bike station launch along with a free preview ride, RSVP here.
