Five single-family homes priced from $3.5 to $4.2 million are being developed in an area of Brickell that encompasses Miami’s original “Millionaire’s Row,” per Miami Curbed.

The development, called Villa Leone, is located at 2100 South Miami Ave. LOL Development recently broke ground on the first of the five homes, which is expected to be completed in spring 2018. They were designed by architect Reinaldo Borges, ‎Principal and CEO of Borges Architects + Associates. The three-story residences range in size from 5,345 to 7,716 square feet and will feature a summer kitchen by the pool, a rooftop terrace (with an optional second pool), an elevator, nine-foot-tall doors, sub-street-level parking, and high-end finishes.

The residences will be constructed on a property that used to be known as La Casa Reposada, whose history dates back to the 1930s. The property was razed in the 1980s and the lot has remained vacant ever since. La Casa Reposa was originally home to Craft Paper tycoon Vernon Gransden and had other high-profile owners, including former Cuban President Carlos Prío Socarrás.
