The Grove Frisco will kick off its first phase of construction this summer. In a partnership, San Diego-based Newland Communities and North American Sekisui House LLC—a Japanese builder—purchased the 735-acre spread two years ago that will ultimately contain 1,800 new high-end homes, 1,400 multi-family residences, retail, and office space.

The “intentional” lifestyle will be at the core of the development, where shared amenities and natural landscapes are the catalysts for social interactions and the sense of community.

"Vibrant, intentionally planned communities purposely bring people together through open spaces, connected neighborhoods, and community gathering places," Brian Cramer, senior vice president of Newland, said in a statement. "The Grove Frisco embodies the distinctive concept of intentional, not master-planned, living. It's the next evolution in community building."

Opportunities to meet and greet neighbors run deep throughout the development. The Orchard House—with its sprawling, modern farmhouse design—will contain a fully-equipped fitness center, meeting rooms, and conversation space around a fireplace as well as a cafe that will serve pastries, made-to-order coffee, ice cream, salads, and more.

The Great Lawn is designed to be the ideal spot for an impromptu picnic, community gathering, al fresco dinner party, or simply enjoying good company and adult beverages with friends. Adjacent to the lawn, the open-air Pavilion will be equipped with a stage for hosting neighborhood events and live performances.

The Grove Frisco will also include two heated swimming pools, which consist of an infinity edge pool and waterfall that feed into a lower, shallower pool next to the splash pad. Grilling and concession facilities will likewise be available for poolside cook-outs or snacks.

With 20 acres of community greenspace, an outdoor adventure is never far from home. In addition to the first 4.5 miles of nature trails, residents will have access to dog parks, naturally designed playgrounds with tree limb forts and hilltop slides, and plenty of open-area seating to relax and read a good book amid lush native Texas scenery.

Home construction in Frisco, Texas

Despite community offerings, The Grove Frisco is located on Main Street just a mile from the four corners intersection of Frisco, Plano, McKinney, and Allen, so shopping, dining, entertainment, sports events, and employment opportunities are just minutes away.

Builders for the project include American Legend Homes, Drees Custom Homes, Highland Homes, and Southgate Homes. Prices for single-family homes range from the $400,000s to $700,000s.

Newland Communities has more than 140 developments in 13 states to its credit, which includes parts of the Stonebridge Ranch community in McKinney.

North American Sekisui House is a subsidiary of Japan’s largest homebuilder. Aside from the United States, the parent company also has operations in China, Singapore, and Australia.
