The New Home Company has communities all over Arizona and California. But one place the Aliso Viejo-based developer didn’t have homes was in the San Diego region. That’s about to change with the announcement of Promontory, a collection of residences in the master-planned community of Civita in Mission Valley

Per Builder, the 225-acre community is being developed by Sudberry Properties and is located just north of Balboa Park and Downtown San Diego. The sprawling campus will eventually include over 4,780 residential units, approximately 480,000 square feet of retail, and a 420,000-square-foot office campus. It will also have a collection of greenspaces that includes multiple parks, an outdoor amphitheater, and event plaza. The Civita Recreation Center acts as the centerpiece of the community, featuring an 8,790 square-foot clubhouse, lagoon pool, lap pool, two spas, and covered patios.

Promontory will fill up 8.7 acres at Civita’s highest point with 133 three-story and single-story attached homes ranging from 1,401 to 2,188 square feet. Residences will have up to three bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths. Homes will be designed by Woodley Architectural Group and will include floor-to-ceiling windows, master bedrooms with valley views, and oversized patios. Prices will start in the $700,000s and the grand opening is expected in late 2017.
