Miami Springs will be the site of a new 10-story, 150-room Wyndham Gardens hotel, per The Real Deal.

According to property records, Sucre LLC led by Salvatore Natoli secured a $17.7 million construction loan from Centennial Bank for the project at 4849 and 4909 Northwest 36th St. Miami-based Modis Architects will design the hotel. The developer paid $5.35 million for the 2.2-acre site, which is the former site of the Pilot House bar, which closed nearly a decade ago. It currently has some retail space on it, including a Subway. The city approved plans for the hotel last year.

Other hotels that have been built near the airport and in Doral include Riviera Point Development Group’s Radisson Red hotel at 3450 Northwest 25th St. In March, Baywood Hotels closed on a $15.4 million construction loan for a hotel it’s building near the Trump National Doral Miami resort.
