Coloso Coffee, a well-known caffeine outpost in Oakland, just served their last latte at 1715 Webster St.

Per East Bay Express, the Uptown coffee shop is currently moving to a new location (917 Washington St. in Downtown Oakland) to make way for a 25-story tower that will soon take its place. Coloso will be set to open their new locations around the end of October.

As for the new arrival to the neighborhood, the skyscraping structure will feature wall-to-wall windows with yellow architectural accents across the exterior. Inside the new building will be 250 new apartments, 2,100 square feet of new retail space, 5,000 square feet of office space, a 250-car garage, and 15,000 square feet of open space.

This wouldn’t be the first tower to enter into the neighborhood. Next door, a 23-story building is almost complete. This mixed-use structure at 1700 Webster St. features 206 condos, three floors dedicated to parking, and 6,000 square feet of retail space.
