Partially-Developed Devonshire Community in Dallas Suburb Sold
In 2014, Hunt Properties sold the 925-acre master-planned community of Devonshire in Forney, TX back in 2014 to Wheelock Street Capital, who was making a case to be a player in the world of Texas residential development. Since then they’ve taken the incomplete master-plan community and started turning it’s empty lots into homes. Now, however, they’ve decided to move on and sell the still-incomplete community to Haynes Development Company and Avanti Properties Group.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed by the new owners inherit a community that includes over 670 sold homes, 119 finished lots, 241 lots currently being developed, and 1,350 future development lots. Prices of the homes sold in the last 36 months have ranged from the low $200,000s to the low $400,000.

Spanning from Farm-to-Market (FM) 548 to Ranch Road, the massive community also includes a resort-style clubhouse, pool, amphitheater, trails, and ponds.
Highland Homes, Bloomfield Homes, Gehan Homes, Pulte Homes, and Beazer Homes are among the builders currently constructing and selling houses in the neighborhood. This is Haynes Development’s seventh residential community in the Dallas area and Avanti’s seventh throughout Texas.
