ApartmentList recently released their 2017 Best Cities for Families report and the Bay Area managed to nab one spot in the top 20.

Using a methodology that weighs safety, housing affordability, education quality, and child friendliness, the city of Pleasanton came in 18th overall on their list. Education quality was the biggest reason as the city's two high schools, Amador Valley and Foothill, are considered two of the best in the nation. The city also scored high in child friendliness. Accolades like this are nothing new for Pleasanton, which has been named toUSA Today's "50 best cities to live in" list and as one of Money's "Best Places to Live," just to name a few.

Homes in Pleasanton skew to the higher side with current prices ranging from $449,999 to $4,228,888 with a median home price around $940,000.
