Rayzor Ranch in Denton Bringing Retail, Restaurants Near Convention Center
Mixed-use developments are popping up in cities all across North Texas. One of the latest is Rayzor Ranch, a development in Denton. According to a Dallas Business Journal story, Rayzor Ranch is getting off to a strong start with 100 percent of the retail and restaurant space already leased.
Rayzor Ranch Town Center is located near I-35 and University Drive, placing it in a prime location for visibility and traffic near the University of North Texas and Texas Woman’s University. The development will include restaurants, retail, luxury housing, and a conference center.
RED Development sold the 11-acre plot of land for the Rayzor Ranch development to Kansas City-based EPC Real Estate Group. In addition to offering housing, retail, and restaurant opportunities, the centerpiece will be the long-awaited Embassy Suites by Hilton Denton Convention Center.
Every one of the 318 rooms at the hotel will be a suite. It will also have an indoor pool, fitness center, and a Houlihan’s restaurant and bar. The hotel will be connected to the 70,000-square-foot convention center, which provides both indoor and outdoor space to host large events and activities.
"Strong momentum continues at Rayzor Ranch Town Center as we achieve more milestones to bring this unique, regional mixed-use destination to life," RED Development's Managing Partner Scott Rehorn said in a statement.
Retailers and restaurants that have already signed leases to build at Rayzor Ranch Town Center include the following:
- Texas-based Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, a 7,500-square-foot casual dining restaurant scheduled to open in late summer 2018
- Zoe’s Kitchen, a Plano-based fast casual restaurant planned to open by summer 2018
- Andy B’s Entertainment and Bowling Center, a 41,000-square-foot entertainment facility that will include laser tag, bowling, arcade, bar, and restaurant. It is planned to open by fall 2018
- Rooms to Go, a 40,000-square-foot furniture store
- Brain Balance, a non-medical program to support and improve child development
