Realtors Channel Hollywood in Eye-Catching Short Films Promoting Homes
Competition to sell houses has been heating up in Los Angeles. The need to grab customer attention has become so paramount that agents are going to great lengths to promote luxury homes. Lately, realtors have resorted to creating eye-catching short films in an effort to stand out.
Per The Real Deal, real estate agents Mark Rutstein and Horacio LeDon from Partners Trust released their inner director in a memorable video promoting an $8.5 million Encino multi-home listing. The clip, inspired by the Oscar-winning film La La Land, features two dancers imitating Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone’s characters from the movie. In a similar dance number, the two lookalikes frolic throughout the vast property, which includes three houses, seven bedrooms, and 10 bathrooms.
Real estate agents Adam Rosenfeld and Kyle Giese from Mercer Vine gave their customers a unique cinematic experience as well. They hired Jacob Jonas, an award-winning choreographer and founder of Jacob Jonas The Company, which is known for creating visceral dance performances. The video stars two professional dancers moving throughout a $15 million home on Laurel Way. The pair showcase the house’s outdoor deck, infinity pool, matte floors, and many other areas through dance.
Realtors have also figured out that sex sells. Developer Nile Niami partnered with Hilton & Hyland agent Drew Fenton to promote Opus, a $100 million spec home in Beverly Hills, by creating an ambiguous but provocative video. Although there’s no clear plotline, the edgy video centers on a woman in lingerie waking up next to another topless gold-painted woman. Outside the extravagant house are more scantily-clad guests painted in gold and jewelry.
There’s always been a fair amount of competition between LA realtors, but this is some next-level stuff. Question is, what’s next?
