Sunnyvale, San Francisco and a few more California cities made it to the top 10 cities in America for millennials.

According to Curbed SF, the data site Niche generated the list by sorting through 228 cities with a population of 100,000 or more, and used factors valued by the millennial population. The rankings are based on measurements such as percentage of residents between the ages of 25 and 34, access to bars and coffee shops, diversity, and higher education rate, to name a few.

The highest ranking cities in America for millennials in California are:

  1. San Francisco
  2. Berkeley
  3. Sunnyvale

Beyond the top 10 cities, there are other California cities who ranked further down the totem pole as best-fit for millennials. The following California cities made it to the top 100 cities in America for millennials: 

  1. Irivine
  2. Santa Clara
  3. Pasadena
  4. Costa Mesa
  5. Oakland
  6. San Diego
  7. Burbank
  8. Los Angeles
