Many cities are catering to man’s best friend by way of top-of-the-line dog parks, restaurants that offer canine cuisine, and doggie fashion shows. Per Entrepreneur, 75 percent of people in their 30s own dogs and the pet industry will be worth $62.75 billion by the end of this year. WalletHub (via Sonoran News) has put together a list of the best cities to take advantage of puppy love without breaking the bank, and Arizona is home to the top two.

It might not be surprising to those already living in the Phoenix metro area, but the top two spots overall belong to Scottsdale and Phoenix. These cities go wild for their pets, but Scottsdale is in another category of dog lovers altogether. Here you’ll find places like D Pet Hotel, a luxury pooch hotel with indoor dog parks, chauffeur service, and private suites that offer modern decor, queen-sized beds, and 42-inch flat-screen TVs. Not convinced? Purchase a ticket for Canine Couture, a dog show where top prizes win the owner and their furry friend a three-night stay at Oh my Dog! Boutique Hotel & Spa

Phoenix came in a respectable second place thanks to its variety of dog parks. Steele Indian School Dog Park in Midtown offers an acre of fenced turf and chilled drinking fountains. Deem Hills Dog Park in Deer Valley Village is a favorite for big dog owners because of the wide open space and cleanliness. Grovers Basin Dog Park in Paradise Valley Village offers over an acre for dogs to roam.

In order to determine the top spots, WalletHub analysts compared 100 of the largest cities across 21 metrics, including minimum pet-care provider rate per visit and walkability. Other notable finds from their data? San Francisco has the most pet businesses per population while Miami has the most veterinarians per population.
