A new neighborhood is slated for Scottsdale’s exclusive Desert Mountain golf community, according to Phoenix Business Journal

Named for the seventh private course, “Seven” is an exclusive, 90-acre community that will feature up to 190 homes designed around an 18-hole, par 54 golf course and a new private clubhouse.

Seven’s clubhouse will be the major draw of the neighborhood. Created by Scottsdale architect CP Drewett, the design is intended to create an inclusive, family‐friendly gathering place with entertainment, though it also includes a large bar for more adult activities. Bocce ball courts, fire pits, and large patios for dining and entertainment are expected.

Residents of the new community must become either a “lifestyle” or “equity” golf member at Desert Mountain, gaining access to amenities such as the newly renovated Sonoran Spa and Fitness Center, tennis complex, miles of hiking and biking trails, private golf courses, clubhouses, and restaurants.

Home designs within Seven will focus on the course-facing rear side just as much as the street-facing front. Using this “four-sided” architectural approach, M3, the design team previously responsible for the Shea Trilogy of Wickenburg and other communities in Arizona, will create an impactful and inclusive home design aesthetic.

Also within this new community, there will be distinct neighborhoods created by different homebuilders. The first neighborhood will be The Village at Seven Desert Mountain by builders Cullum Homes. Plans call for 33 custom luxury residences ranging from 3,000 to 8,000 square feet. Both single- and two-story homes will be offered with an unexpected option: The addition of a “19th hole” basement-level entertainment zone complete with indoor golf simulator, glass-enclosed collector car showroom, theater, wet bar, and other amenities. Prices will range from $1 million to over $3 million, and models will be available in the fall of 2018.

Meanwhile, Camelot Homes will develop 49 lots in a new neighborhood called The Villas at Seven Desert Mountain. These detached luxury homes will range from 2,600 and 4,500 square feet, including two to four bedrooms and up to four and a half baths. Residences will boast contemporary designs within single- and two-story plans with an elevator option available. Prices are expected to range from the low $1 millions to more than $2 million with models available in early 2019.

Family Development will be the third builder in the community, creating what Bill Brownlee, managing partner at M3, describes as “stacked condos.” Their new neighborhood, called Retreat at Seven Desert Mountain, will blend modern style and convenience as they did in their Encue development in Phoenix.
