Homebuyers looking in Houston have plenty of options. For those looking to live closer to the urban heart of Houston, there are plenty of homes throughout parts of Downtown Houston, Midtown, and Montrose. For people looking to live in a planned community though, there are fewer options. Due to limited space, planned communities tend to be built toward the suburban stretches of the city — which is perfect for anyone who wants to avoid the traffic of Houston proper or enjoy natural spaces.

One of these communities is Harmony, a master-planned community in Spring, which just opened a new phase of homes. Harmony is ideally situated for those who enjoy the outdoors. Just down the road, residents can find Spring Creek Bend, Spring Trails Preserve, Pundt Park, and other greenspaces. These parks and outdoor areas follow Spring Creek, which travels through the center of Spring and out toward distant Lake Houston. Even with its ideal location for those who love the outdoors, Harmony is also conveniently located near to The Woodlands. This places it close to The Woodlands Mall, a popular shopping and dining destination north of Houston. Plus, along Hardy Toll Road, residents can reach Downtown Houston within a half hour.

Consistent with its place in this part of Houston, the community of Harmony touts quick access to the Spring Creek Greenway as one of its greatest features. Along the greenway, residents can go hiking, biking, canoeing, bird watching, and fishing. However, Harmony also features a recreation center that includes a workout center and a resort style pool. A family favorite amenity is the barefoot park, where residents can take off their shoes, enjoy the splash pads, and take a walk through the shallow pool.

Due to its combination of local amenities, green spaces, and affordable living, Harmony has seen significant growth and that growth has also led to a new expansion to the community. The Villages at Harmony recently opened, with 694 new homesites coming onto the market. Homes will be opening at $190,000, making them affordable for many buyers.

Developers will be offering 45 different style of homes, with the smallest floor plan starting at 1,424 square feet and the largest coming in at 3,270 square feet. Homes will include anywhere from three to five bedrooms as well as media rooms, game rooms, multi-car garages, and covered patios.
