Stanley Saitowitz is one of the few American architects working today who can fully claim the mantle of “starchitect” and back it up. From the Tampa Museum of Art to the New England Holocaust Memorial and San Francisco’s Beth Sholom Synagogue, he’s made his mark across the nation. He’s doing so once more with the designs for a sprawling, modern home in Tiburon that is asking a whopping $35 million

The residence hasn’t even been built yet but this vision of a six-bedroom, 8,000 square-foot beachfront mansion might just be enough for a buyer to roll the dice while the permits move through approvals. In fact, buyers have two options: Drop $35 million and let the seller, art dealer Serge Sorokko, build the home as plans dictate. Or you can pay $12.75 million for the 7.4-acre property and the right to bankroll the home yourself.

The residence plans have a museum-like quality with glass walls surrounding you on most sides. Along with the six bedrooms, the residence will also include five bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, a wine cellar, a screening room, a gymnasium, an infinity pool and a detached pool house. A spiraling staircase connects the two floors

Location-wise, the home is nestled between hills to the rear and the bay to the front. The property looks out on the San Rafael Bridge.

Sorokko is also offering up a neighboring 3.2-acre parcel that comes with an 8,000-square-foot residence designed by Craig Steely for $18 million, just in case you’re looking for something a little more “affordable.”
