Taylor Morrison Reveals New Flexible Floor Plans for Chicagoland Communities
Homebuilder Taylor Morrison recently released several new floor plans throughout the Chicagoland areas, offering entry-level buyers more options in new construction. The company revealed three new floor plans called the Becker, Goodwin, and Adler, all of which are two stories.
The new floor plans are available in Elgin’s Stonebrook, Algonquin’s Creeks Crossing, Verona Ridge in Aurora, and Woodland Hills in Lakewood. The floor plans were released to offer more practical home designs, with an emphasis on adaptable spaces and flex rooms.
“These new home plans really hit the market demands we’ve been seeing,” Bob Meyn, vice president of sales and marketing for Taylor Morrison’s Chicago division, told Builder Online. “The new plans also strengthen our entry-level options, introducing more efficient and practical features while starting at a lower price point.”
One of the biggest shifts in the new floor plans is the elimination of traditional living and dining rooms, a growing desire among buyers. Buyers are also interested in features like expandable sunrooms, large garages, loft space, and walk-in closets.

The Adler is the smallest option of the three new floor plans at 2,467 square feet, which starts in the $290,000s. This floor plan has a three-car tandem garage, a flex space near the entrance, a gathering room, and optional fireplace. The two-story home also has amenities like a large kitchen with an island as well as a dining room. The second story of the home features four bedrooms, a loft, two full bathrooms, and a laundry room.
The second-largest home is the Becker, which is 2,635 square feet and starts in the low $300,000. The floor plan features two stories, an open kitchen with island, dining room, gathering space, and a flex space. Additionally, the property has an optional sunroom. The four-bedroom, two-bath home has walk-in closets and a loft space.
The largest of the three homes is the Goodwin, which is about 2,952 square feet and starts in the low $300,000. This property has a three-car tandem garage with optimal storage space, as well as four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. It features an open-concept kitchen with a walk-in pantry, optional fireplace, and a loft space.
Field models of the homes are currently under construction.
