Iroquois Steeplechase - Franklin

While Mom always stays young at heart, one of the oldest Nashville Mother’s Day weekend traditions is the Iroquois Steeplechase, began in 1941. This is a great chance to dress up with 25,000 other spectators in elaborate hats and pastels to enjoy watching horses and riders, all in Percy Warner Park in Franklin.

Middle Tennessee Strawberry Festival - Portland

A little outside of Nashville in Portland, Tennessee, the 77th Annual Middle Tennessee Strawberry Festival provides a fun day of events on May 12. From freshly picked strawberries to vendors and a Strawberry Slam featuring pro wrestlers, there’s something at the Strawberry Festival for every mom.  

Mother's Day Tea and Fashion Show at the Hermitage - Downtown

Bring some history to Mother’s Day with the Mother’s Day Tea and Fashion Show at the Hermitage in Downtown. Andrew Jackson’s former residence is turned into tea party fun at the Tulip Grove Mansion. A special fashion show featuring historic dress will take place as guests munch delicately on typical teatime fare. 

Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum - Downtown

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, also Downtown, caters to moms with a fun visit from The Martin Family Circus singing group and traditional southern brunch food. After a special meal, visitors can then enjoy the museum as well along with a complimentary Mother’s Day photo opportunity.

Nashville Renaissance Festival - South Nashville

If mom is more in the mood for a giant turkey leg, the Nashville Renaissance Festival runs over Mother’s Day weekend. Located just 25 miles from downtown in South Nashville, the features something for everyone from jousting to strolling musicians.

Check out celebrity chef Jonathan Waxman’s Adele’s in The Gulch for a unique dining experience with special Mother’s Day treats that have included a pancake bar and crab cake benedict in the past. 

Chauhan Ale & Masala House - North Gulch  

For a truly unique experience from another celebrity chef, chef Maneet Chauhan’s Chauhan Ale & Masala House in North Gulch is serving up special Mother’s Day brunch items. Inspired by Chauhan’s Indian roots, dishes like vindaloo chilaquiles might be served next to biscuits and lobster and decadent naan French toast.

Tansuo - Downtown

Another innovative Mother’s Day dining option in downtown Nashville is Tansuo in Downtown with a menu created by chef Chris Cheung. Diners can munch on unique adaptations of Asian classics like shrimp spring rolls, roast pork char sui bai, and roasted pork belly all made for a special Mother’s Day meal. 

City Winery - Pie Town

If Mom likes to hear a little jazz with her food, the City Winery in Pie Town features an all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-listen buffet of brunch items and live jazz on Mother’s Day.

For a lighter option, try Killebrew Coffee in the Thompson Nashville. Focusing on pastries, executive chef Lisa Marie White has been known to create special sweet treats for Mother’s Day including a chocolate glazed seafoam donut and an almond pecan sticky bun all to go with Killebrew’s signature coffees.

Omni Hotel - Downtown

The Omni Hotel does the traditional Mother’s Day brunch to a tee complete with eggs made-to-order, soups and salads, a carving station, chilled seafood, and desserts. All served in the hotel’s Kitchen Notes “farm to fork”  restaurant, the Downtown Omni Hotel’s Mother’s Day brunch is a familiar Nashville staple.

The renovated Union Station Hotel in Downtown Nashville features historic details and a yummy Mother’s Day brunch. Billed as a “living southern brunch,” the buffet has traditional waffle and carving stations as well as southern desserts.
