Rick Caruso, the developer behind The Grove and The Americana at Brand, has officially purchased three Marina del Rey properties for $2.75 million. The request was approved earlier this week by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.

The trio of parcels are located at 4499, 4519, and 4451 Admiralty Way and are currently leased and occupied by the Warehouse Restaurant and Cafe Del Rey, which are owned by the entity Commodore Club, Inc. Even though the properties at 4499 and 4519 are joined, the third property at 4451 is located further west.

As part of the transaction, the Board of Supervisors are allowing the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors to start the agreement process and renegotiations for the lease. However, as of now, there are no plans for redeveloping the properties.

Caruso has also developed a nearby shopping center called Waterside in Marina del Rey. He is currently working on other projects including an apartment structure in West Hollywood and the upcoming Palisades Village in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood.
