The Wharf in D.C.’s Southwest Waterfront only just opened in October, but developers PN Hoffman and Madison Marquette are getting ready for Phase II of the project. According to WTOP, work on phase II is slated to start in mid-November, and is projected to complete in 2022.

The new segment, which WTOP notes will be added along Maine Avenue Southwest, will include additional office, residential and retail spaces, breaking down as follows: 547,504 square feet of office area, 317 residential units, and 119,059 square feet of retail space.

Phase II will also produce a marina and 250 boat slips, WTOP reported.

Two new recreational spaces will be added, WTOP said, which are M Street Landing and the Grove. M Street Landing will have seating, a bike-share system, and parking, while the Grove will be an open space with “general outdoor seating,” the report said.

The Wharf, a $2.5 billion project, opened in October with restaurants, shops, music venues, park space, and luxury hotels and apartments.
