On June 29, the 59th annual Gold Nugget Awards were handed out to recognize “those who improve our communities through exceptional concepts in design, planning, and development.” Of the many awards handed out, developer Toll Brothers walked away with the highest honor of the evening, Home of the Year.

The Sullivan at Adero Canyon, located in Fountain Hills, Arizona, took home the prestigious honor. This midcentury modern-style home also earned the Grand Award for Best Single Family Detached Home (4,000 to 5,000 Square Feet).

“Beginning with an innovative floor plan and continuing throughout the entire homesite, this home is filled with creative ideas and thoughtful execution, said the judging statement on the home. “By using an ‘upside down’ concept, the home takes full advantage of the site and surrounding desert views.”

The Parker at Adero Canyon, also by Toll Brothers, took home the Grand Award for Best Single Family Detached Home (3,000 to 3,499 Square Feet). Judges were impressed by the way “the living spaces consistently blend with the surroundings through texture and color.”

The design teams for both homes included RFT Design, Creative Environments, Ryan Young Interiors, and Est Est.

Along with those two awards, Toll Brothers also took home the 2017 Awards of Merit for Overlook at FireRock in Fountain Hills, Toll Brothers at Adero Canyon in Fountain Hills, and Vacaro at Turquesa in Scottsdale.
