Though a strong showing from South Americans remains, add Eastern Europeans to the list of potential buyers interested in Miami-area real estate, according to The Real Deal

Yet again, Colombia topped the Miami Association of Realtors’ list for countries with the most buyers looking for South Florida homes, a trend that’s held for seven consecutive months. Canada placed second for the September report tracking web searches, but a new country held third place: Ukraine.

Ukraine, the second-largest country in Europe after Russia, comprised 5.5 percent of all international web searches on MiamiRealtors.com, the majority coming from its capital city, Kiev. Other major international cities on the list were Bogota (Colombia comprised 11.4 percent of searches) and Ontario (Canada comprised 10.4 percent of searches).

The continued presence of international searches complements new direct, international flights that bring potential buyers to the city

September’s full list of countries searching for South Florida real estate is as follows: Colombia, Canada, Ukraine, Venezuela, Spain, Brazil, Italy, India, Argentina, Philippines.
