According to the Dallas Morning News, the five-year-old company Centre Living Homes is making its mark in the Dallas housing market with nearly a dozen high-density housing developments in the works

With projects stretching from Oak Cliff to Richardson, new Centre Living homes are underway in Highland Park near Lemmon Avenue, Live Oak Street in East Dallas, Ross Avenue in East Dallas, on Fort Worth Avenue west of Downtown Dallas, and in Richardson’s $1.5 billion CityLine development

In addition to buying land for the next 300 homes, the builder has opened a marketing center in the Dallas Design District where buyers can see floor plans and features and select their own new home finishes for a base price.

Centre Living specializes in building single-family homes and townhomes. Its average home is around 2,000 square feet and sells for more than $400,000.

CEO Trevor Brickman cut his teeth in the building industry by constructing large custom-built homes in the Oak Lawn area. Though his homes typically sold before completion, he wanted to reach a broader audience.

“There are only so many people that can afford a $1 million townhouse,” Brickman told the Dallas Morning News.

He developed a different business model and founded Centre Living Homes under the umbrella of his father James Brickman’s Plano-based company, Green Brick Partners. Last year, Green Brick’s investments in new home communities and building companies translated to $380 million in revenues.
