Watch: Drone Videos Showcase Beauty of Oakland's Neighborhoods
When it comes to the Bay Area, Oakland spends a lot of time living in San Francisco’s shadow. The best way to get out of the shadow is to rise above it, and that’s what one drone photographer is doing to showcase the hidden beauty of The Town.
Resident Myles Fenwick is hoping to change perspectives by releasing a series of drone videos filmed high above neighborhoods around Oakland. The first video showcased the region around Jack London Square while the second gave us a glimpse of West Oakland. The third video provides a pigeon’s eye view of Lake Merritt and the Merritt neighborhood.
Fenwick told SFGate.com that "you just get a whole new perspective on everything around you. You can see things that you would never know are there."
