San Diego real estate developer Zephyr broke ground last Thursday on South Cove, a condo community in Dana Point.

Located at Del Obispo and Pacific Coast Highway, the 168-unit “laid back luxury” neighborhood will include flats, townhomes, and twin homes. Residences will range from one- to three-floors and 883 to 2,126 square-feet. While homes will differ in specifics, each one will include an attached garage. Features that depend on the unit include balconies, porches, rooftop decks and optional beach rinses.

No word yet on prices but seventeen of the homes will be set aside as affordable housing.

Located across from Doheny Beach, the nine-acre lot was purchased in 2015 for $50 million and the community is expected to be completed by 2019. Pre-sales should be underway sometime in spring 2017 and models will be available in the summer.
