My 2 children attend Guerneville School and they just love it. The parents in the community are so supportive and active. Because of this the school is able to offer computer lab, art, music classes, garden, and many many field trips each year.

I'm not only a parent but I've been a public school teacher for 25 years - so I think I have a very clear two-point perspective when it comes to assessing any school. For added perspective, my family and I have lived abroad, we've traveled extensively, and I've worked in and with many diverse populations. I have to say that moving to Guerneville and having my child in this school was just a bizarre experience. For one thing, she just "graduated" from Guerneville Elementary, at least I think she did. Even though she was part of the graduating class of 2013, she was never acknowledged during the graduation ceremony, nor was her picture even included in the yearbook. And throughout the year she battled through some of fiercest harassment that I've ever witnessed anywhere. All in all, it was a heartbreaking experience to endure. I'm so glad we're done with this school. For any parents considering moving to this area and having their children attend this school, be wary.

My son is in Kindergarten so this is my first experience with public school. I am so impressed with the staff commitment and care they give to each student even though the class size is 28 kids for one teacher. They work tirelessly with each of them to make sure they The parents of this commnunity are very committed to their kids and many volunteer in the classroom to assist the staff. We have a music program for the kids that is organized by FOGS a parent sponsored non profit that raises money for the music program. I must say must my son's first year at this school has been fabulous.
