I am in my last year at Dana Middle School and it has been a great experience so far. When I first got there in 7th grade, the faculty and staff were very nice. I highly recommend this school for a great education experience because at Dana there are teachers that care. They provide tutoring for free and the teachers don't mind staying after school to help you. This school also helps your child/children prepare for high school and college.

Dana Middle school is a rare Gem!. My son graduated from Dana in June 2015. He had the best experience a school can offer. His Caaspp assessment was great. Dana indeed prepare students for high school and college. The teachers are kind and dedicated. The school environment is clean and safe. The administrators love their job. Even though the school is big, it is well organized. The PTA is one of the best I have seen. If you want your child to experience the best school experience, Dana is the way to go.

My daughter has attended the Wiseburn school district on permit since Pre-School and graduated from Dana. Sure she had two teachers she didn't care for over the 9 years she spent there. But she also had so many amazing teachers. She is so ahead of the game. She now attends Mira Costa which has the highest API score in the South Bay. She finds Costa easy compared to Dana. They push them hard but there are plenty of teachers that stay afterschool to help. If you want your child prepared for the rea world, I highly suggest Dana.

I was worried about how my oldest daughter would transition when she went from Peter Burnett to Dana Middle School, as her earlier transition from Cabrillo to Burnett did not go so smoothly. So, I was VERY pleased that she adjusted smoothly to Dana, and has been thriving there ever since. She's a smart girl, but schoolwork has not come easily to her. She was able to gain the organizational and study skills necessary to work her way up to A's and the occasional B grade, and we give kudos to her and her teachers at Dana Middle School.
