Everytime I've been to Grape, it has ended in a positive experience. Everyone is so nice and helpful.

I can't say anything negative about Grape Street. My son and daughter love coming to Grape Street. Grape Street has such a great environment and is pushing my kids to complete college. It isn't a perfect school but what school is? The Principal, Mr. Nakano is a great leader he's always professional and fair with all of the students. He greets them at the gate with a good morning each day. He has parent meetings and he explains how Grape is changing and all of the positive programs and things that are happening and coming to Grape. I hear parents complain about new school rules and they are mad because they can't do what they want anymore like before. Before parents would do what they wanted because they said they were friends with the principal. Mr. Nakano and Ms. Thompson will do anything for all of the children and always try their best to keep all of the students safe.

I had a 2nd and 4th grader at this school. My daughter was constantly being bullied I spent a lot of time filling out reports that never found their way to the principal, when they finally did the principal was an uncaring individual who seemed to have no sympathy. My kids hated going to school after Ms Turner left. My son went from being advanced in his test scores to not learning anything in the 4th grade. My sons 4th grade teacher was a former 1srt grade teacher who was unable to control her classroom. This school already has a lot of kids with behavior issues and add staff that cannot control their classrooms, this createS and unsafe environment for kids that actually want to learn.

All three of my kids have been to this school. My second child will be transitioning from 5th to 6th grade this year. Unfortunately my third son will remain in this school for a few more years. In the last year the school has changed so much for the worst! Ever since the principal Mrs. Turner, left this school is going down the drain! My son who is 8, is constantly being bullied, not only by students but also by his teacher. I went to school this morning trying to address the issues and no one was able to help me. Neither the principal nor the vice principal were available. They had me fill out a complaint form and said the principal would probably contact me sometime tomorrow! Really?! I am researching to see where else I can take my complaint to. It's so sad that things like this are happening at elementary schools.. My son no longer wants to go to school. This school has really failed my son!
