School is more focused on gathering donations which surely is helpful, but Principal should focus on quality education as well, parent feedback is heard when raised but nothing happens thereafter. School should recognize good teachers and help them to advance their careers, they should also recognize teachers who lack passion to teach.Rating of this school is falling and is visible due to lack of attention to education. Suggestion to teachers and Principal, please recognize student education needs and abilities, please motivate, incite and be creative to help students excel, challenge their abilities.

Review for Kindergarten My child absolutely LOVES going to school. Her teacher has a fun approach to teaching which keeps the students engaged and helps students retain the information given. I have noticed a great difference in my child's education. There was a bullying situation in my child's classroom that was quickly put to an end. This school has a zero tolerance for bullying. I love the school community and events that are held to raise funds for the school. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to the other grades.

My child’s fourth grade teacher was very mean to him all the time and he got bullied becuase she would put him down infront if everyone all the time. I didn’t know till this year. She was telling parents and students not to play with him. They told me once not to let him play with another boy. I asked to move him move him to another teacher becuase she wouldn’t communicate with us even though he had and iep but they didn’t. My kid hated to go to school but was too scared to tell us what she was doing to him. Everytime he gets bullied they blame him. He told the principle he’s getting bullied she said it’s not true becuase the other kids who bullied him told her they don’t. I told her about what happened with the last teacher and she just told me “let’s move on” and continues to blame him. She’ll just keep him in the office till he admits it’s hes fault. So he does becuase he knows she’s not there for him. He keeps getting bullied and comes home crying very sad. This year he has Mr Owen, he’s a great teacher and brought back his confidence and he likes school now and doing much better but still parents won’t allow their kids to have play dates bc what the teacher and principles do to him. There is a lot of bullying in the school it comes from the top.

My child was encouraged to dislike another student in special education after his general ed teacher told him to exclude that child. We don’t tolerate that sort of behavior at home and there should be no excuse why a teacher should use that type of attitude. Luckily my child is smart and loves to include everyone. My wife and myself are strongly considering not funding Hancock Park unless this teacher changes their attitude.
