The Principal is a very hard working, dedicated, and committed individual. She lets everyone that works at the school know that our sole purpose in this school is to improve the education of all of the students. We serve a community with extremely hard working parents. Unfortunately, we also have a small minority of parents and students that make our job a lot harder. They are irresponsible, loud, no manners (including the parents), and they very disruptive in many classrooms. But we still have the majority of teachers that come in everyday, ready, willing, and able to make a difference, and we are, our test scores went up again this year. :)

I'm an ex-student from L.A. Academy's Class of 2010, and I feel proud and consider myself fortunate to have been able to go to this school. Upon entering 6th grade I had the opportunity to enroll in the Honors program and followed it through for the three years I attended the school. I feel honored to have had such great and caring teachers each year who guided me and helped me reach where I am today. I am now a sophomore at one of the best private schools in the U.S., Harvard-Westlake, and I couldn't have made it without the help and teachings of all the faculty and the teachers. The school has people who want nothing more than for the students to succeed in their lives. I truly hope that L.A. Academy keeps helping kids find a better life than the area around the school, and I hope that current and future students get the same experience I had at the school. So thank you for all the amazing memories L.A. Academy. -a former student
parent
I'm a parent of two students at LA Academy, I think there should be more parents involved, because that way you could see what's going on,and if you see something you dont like, bring it up to the principal or to your childs councelor. Also I would like to let you know that there is a parent center, parents meet there every friday from 9:00 to 11:00 you are welcome to come. Keep supporting your child's education, please meet with their teachers and councelor, so that you could be aware of what your child needs more help on.
