Great teachers and staff. I've noticed how much Playworks Coach "Nick" has made an impact in my kid's life as well as other students especially when he left to do his duty for the army. Coach Max also stands out as well for he has been the PE coach there for a very long time. As a single mother both these men have been a great role model to my child. Definitely recommend this school. As for the teachers, they are very friendly and welcoming! They are more than happy to help you discuss any question you have in a formal manner.

This is a hidden gem and a school that does amazing things with very little resource. Ms Spencer, the principal, is also a gem and does even more with even less.

The principal of Manzanita Community School is the weak link of this school. I have never seen such a substandard level of professionalism as Eyana Spencer exhibits, and a blatant lack of respect for others. Eight people have quit in six months, morale is terrible, children are constantly suspended according to the principal's mood on any given day, and there is never a day without drama or chaos. How can adults teach children to respect others if they are not expected to live up to this expectation themselves? Most of the teachers are excellent with the exception of a few who seem to believe that shame is a way to motivate students. Unfortunately, even with the passionate teachers, they are only as good as their conflict on any given day with the principal, which seems to be constant among staff. The children feel the stress. I give this school one star for the excellent teachers and one star for the great computer lab. I would never send my child there.
