Located in an amazingly beautiful neighborhood, Palos Verdes High School is one great school. The kids are hard workers, very determined to get into a great college and like to get involved in activities in school and in the community. The parents do an amazing job of supporting the school, from new buildings to new sports fields to the salaries of teachers and counselors. The only way the school could improve would be to add more parking places for the kids.

This school is like being at a country club. Grades are inflated and teachers are so far not prepare to teach subjects. Parent run the school not the administrators. Very did functional school. Kids go too college not prepared.

This school is amazing and challenging in every way. Those who say it is not are the same who choose to avoid the amazing array of AP and Honors classes. Most teachers are challenging and fill class periods with a learning experience. Also, they have recently been redeemed in light of academic competition with Peninsula High school by earning a 898 API score, equalling that of Pen's 898, despite PV's smaller population. Also, athletes are encouraged to better their academics while being champions in their sport. The arts at PV are also unmatched with their open opportunity and extensive programs of Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Video Production, Dance, Music, Literature, Drama, and all kind of computer and media art imaginable.
