Palos Verdes Intermediate School

Excellent. My kids have had a positive experience and the learning/curriculum has been on par with our experience in private school (except for science, maybe...). Its not as comprehensive and personalized as private school, but I feel like that is a benefit in some ways...to stand out and excel in a larger public school like this you have to to do it for yourself. Simply showing up and having your academics and extracurriculars curated for you doesn't necessarily set you up for the realities of college and career.

Overall, the campus is in a great location, there are stellar elective, and good programs. However, I’ve been disappointed in the education my child received here.

There are good teachers and there are not so good teachers. Our school is getting a new principal and I'm hopeful he'll be more effective dealing with bullies. I think we need a strong leader that doesn't holds parents and kids accountable. Unfortunately, bullying is an issue. There are a lot of spoiled kids and parents that don't hold them accountable. It makes it hard for the school to teach when parents don't do their job at home.

It's alright, needs a bit of work but overall its a good school. The only thing im concerned about is the bullying and drama going on, the staff needs to help AND pay attention to it
