Lawrence T. Magee Elementary School

My son has been going here for two years and I have to say this school is amazing. This is the best elementary in the el rancho district. The teacher are amazing and literally show they care. My son has seen a huge impact on his math and English. I am a proud parent and proud my son goes here.

My son has gone there from a private for the past 2 years and we're very satisfied with his progress and his eagerness to learn.

Magee Elementary....The worst Kindergarten experience. No one knew where to go. Unfriendly staff, The principal confused about security. My son at 5 years old dismissed with out regard to whom was gonna pick him up. Luckily ('I found my 5yr old son on the corner, before anyone.") They release children to anyone. The front office staff does not check I.D's or verify Emergency card information. Lack of everything basicly. Very disappointed on the school. It's unfortunate how other parents do not care about their child's school, or even care what goes on. Parent's it's time to get involved and let the district know how you feel towards your child's school and principal. Or this will continue to go on for ever. It's a complete mess. My child is lucky to have an educator at home, and a parent who actually cares about his fundamentals and developements.

This will be the second year my son attends Magee Elementary and so far the only thing I am disappointed in this school is the lack of communication with parents. I had no idea what date school began and what teach and class number my son would be in, I had to call to get all the information. I give credit to the school psychologist and counselor when I needed to inform them and update them on my son ADHD, when he first arrived at Magee they both were willing to help and advise me..sorry can't say the same for his 2nd grade teacher and principle. I am giving Magee one more year and hopefully it improves...
