I will have to say giving the school district one star breaks my heart cause I am sending my children to schools in this district. But I truly believe that South San Francisco Schools aren’t performing at their best. That the leaders of our schools and school district could be doing more to bring a high level quality education to all students and grades. And not just hoping and praying for a bailout from Genentech. The construction is a never ending saga. Parkway is still in disarray! The brand new Science classrooms LEAK! The boys use a very old bathroom with very old pipes which cause the pipes to overflow into the bathroom. The field is a broken ankle waiting to happen. And the overall appearance of the school is not a warm inviting let’s all have a great educational day! Because the students are being educated in such a mess they have no respect for their school and behave in that manner. It seems that. Good majority of the teachers also have a defeated mentality and don’t always give the students the respect they deserve as well. Which cause children to not feel like their teachers care. After Parkland I had a group of kids at my house hanging out and I overheard them say could you see Mr So and So saving our lives if a shooter was at school and all the kids said NO. These kids don’t even think THEIR TEACHERS WANT TO BE THERE WHY WOULD THEY?I always stand on the side of teacher cause they are doing amazing work but sadly the school district can’t pay quality teachers the pay they deserve and the school is left with teachers who may need a new calling. And the administration knows that which I feel leaves them defeated and in a bad place between the district-teachers-and students/parents whom they are supposed to be serving.I am grateful as we leave the middle school scene and hope for more at the high school scene.

This is actually the first year my children attended PHMS; my oldest child was attending Alta Loma because of all the things that I heard that was bad about Parkway Heights. I must be the first to admit that the things that I was hearing have happen a LOOOOONG time ago and people are repeating false information. I am so glad that my two children have had the opportunity to attend Parkway, from the first day of orientation the students and staff greeted and welcomed my family and even gave us a great tour of the school. I've been in contact with staff through school loop and I must say that the teachers, principal, counselors and VP are great. They do their best with keeping the parents informed and responding to emails I send regarding my children have been answered all in a timely manner. It takes parents to partner up with the staff to make it a successful place for our children to study. I am a parent with a changed mind and a positive outlook on Parkway! Love it and would recommend it to other parents. Gooooo Panthers!

this school is amazing. there are many English language learners which makes this school's rep so bad. I am amazed at how long it has gone without a fight. the new principal, who i am pleased to say is doing a great job, used to be the assistant principal for Alta Loma . already, my seventh grade year has already improved. I've seen changes in academics and extra-curricular activities. i am a student at Parkway Heights Middle School and a proud one at that. Although I am only in seventh grade, this will be my last year, and Principal Redmond is making it an enjoyable one. GO PARKWAY PANTHERS! RAWR!!haha..
