... Where to start? Poor campus supervision, ongoing teasing and even occasional bullying issues which there is very little attempt at solving, all the negative connotations of the "small town feel" in the mentality and the attitude of the staff. If you and your children are part of the clique, everything is ok. If for any reason you are not and try to raise a polite complaint about the issue of non-acceptance, this school will consider you and your child a nuisance and slowly but surely leave you no choice but leaving. This is the reason why many parents take their kids out or skip this option altogether after the primary school. This is if they can afford private school, of course - if you can't, good luck in St. Helena.

I concur with the other reviewer. I thought the schools in St. Helena would be great based upon the high cost of housing. The elementary school is a great disappointment. This is a very important time to instill the enjoyment of learning and reading. St. Helena Elementary is below average in my opinion.

We sacrifice a lot to be able to live and send our children to school in St. Helena. Without their resource programs and enrichment programs, my children would not be where they are at today. The life skills that they have learned at these schools is great! I feel blessed not only to live in such a great community, but that my children can enjoy living and going to school in a safe environment.
