Poor very very poor test scores are awful and that results from poor education instruction

The school is very open to parents taking part in our child's education and school environment. The principal has monthly meeting to talk with parents and you are welcome to discuss anything good or bad.

Lakeview Leadership Academy was the best school experience for my son so far in his grade school education. Although he was only there for 7th grade and will be starting a different school for 8th grade, my interaction with his teachers and counselor at Lakeview made it difficult to transfer to another school. My son was actually very sad and expressed that he will miss Lakeview.Mrs. Osterberg is one of the most caring and intelligent teachers I have met in Victorville! My son was hoping to be her teacher's assistant for 8th grade. My son has a disability that makes classroom learning a bit difficult. Mrs. Osterberg was very patient with my son and took the time necessary to ensure he received classroom assignments and had ample time to complete his work. She was a very valuable contributor to the Section 504 Plan team and I always felt like she really cared for my son. Mrs. Osterberg is very enthusiastic about the subjects she teaches and is perfect as the Robotics instructor. She showed genuine care for all of her students. She was very responsive to me when I sought feedback on my son's classroom performance and stayed in regular communication with me. As a result of this outstanding teacher (and the contribution of other teachers), my son maintained a B+ GPA and scored at and above grade level on the CA State tests.Mr. Kubaki, the Special Education teacher, also had a huge impact on my son's education. Mr. Kubaki is the first teacher in my son's 8 years of school education who actually understood my son's disability and unique learning needs. Mr. Kubaki was instrumental in helping me understand my son's needs as a parent. I really wish I could take Mr. Kubaki to my son's current school. We need more counselors like Mr. Kubaki in our Victorville schools. I believe his involvement with my son's teachers and me is the reason my son was successful at Lakeview!Lakeview has issues with some of its students, but don't underestimate this school. If your child is there to learn and you are an involved parent, your student will thrive at Lakeview and on CA State tests.
