Avoid if you like quiet neighborhoods.
If you enjoy incompetent and draconian HOAs, then this is the place for you. Installing noisy, malfunctioning (and useless) alarms everywhere, replacing gate locks while not providing replacement keys, increasing the HOA fees every few months to pay for useless complex "security" features, there's no end to the wonderful (terrible) decisions made on an almost monthly basis.
Oh, and the neighborhoods outside the complex like to shoot fireworks on any day of the year, so enjoy the random explosions at 1am.
