Pleasantville
PERFECT for families with young children.
Pleasantville - Couldn't ask for a better neighbourhood as a parent.
While every neighborhood has it's pros and cons, for families, this is your neighborhood. I feel like I live in Pleasantville when I'm cooking and there's kids outside and my child asks to go play with her friends outside a couple yards down. There are great amenities and even working opportunities for when your children become young adults. It is such a wonderful place for parents of young children. The school district on our side of the lake (100) is AMAZING! Taxes are incredibly affordable. Water bill is the big bummer here, but everything else makes up for it and the board fights for us when it comes to fighting against the water company AQUA.
Move to Roscoe or Belvidere
Water bill is about $150 a month! Lake is dirty can't use it. Always closed can't swim in it. Dues keep going up. Monthly they are $104. No sidewalks to walk on but plenty of rude drivers that will try to run you or your kids over. Rent a cops who allow other residents to swear at your children. Crazy rules, have to get board approval for everything. No fences. Terrible cable selection only get mediacom. Move to Roscoe. Move to Belvidere. Move to the nicer parts of Rockford, Caledonia.
