Hidden Gem Neighborhood in SouthPark/Myers Park School District

Sarah K
Carmel Woods Neighborhood is a hidden gem located in the SouthPark/Myers Park School District, which is surrounded by million dollar home neighborhoods in the hear of Charlotte. You'll almost miss it because of all the mature trees that hide the neighborhood from the hustle and bustle of Carmel and Colony Road. It's is a well-established community with young families in a rapidly growing area of Charlotte that is close to great schools, wonderful restaurants and a variety of shops. Carmel Woods is a wonderful place to settle down and establish roots! Carmel Woods is zoned for Sharon Elementary School (3 miles away), which is rated 10 out of 10, and kids can walk to Carmel Middle School, which is rated 9/10. Carmel Woods was established in the late 1970's with many ranch style and two story homes with mature trees and large lots. There's an active neighborhood association with established neighborhood social events through out the year such as a Chili Cook Off, Halloween Party with a haunted house, and Fourth of July Parade. Residents enjoy this hidden neighborhood so much that they often buy a larger home in Carmel Woods or in the adjoining McAlpine Forest neighborhood.
