Country Living close to the City

Kevin M
Reading the two previous reviews, I felt you needed to hear from someone who likes our neighborhood. Yes, some people drive to close. Yes, some people leave their dogs out. I've seen that in other neighborhoods as well. This isn't Inwood or Emerald Forest. We don't have security. We're out in the country. This is the whole reason for being out here. There may not be a lot of neighbor friendliness, but we're on 5-acre tracts. I seldom even see my neighbors. But I do get waved at every time I drive down the street. Is the subdivision going to be impacted by the 281 expansion? Probably not. We're over a mile from 281 with Country Place between us. And Country Place is all hills, block us from 281. If you want to live away from the city, out in the country, without a lot of rules, in a nice area with more than average price homes, then consider Clear Springs Park. The rest of us like it out here.

I have been a resident of this community for 18yrs, I think it s time for the home owners of this community to come together and strengthen the guidelines and then begin to enforce them OR we can begin to allow mobile homes and all that goes along with it. Our association is a WASTE. Currently, you may build, park, or design pretty much what ever you like, there is NO OVERSIGHT

Lousy Neighborhood

Beware! This neighborhood is deceiving. Let me start by saying there is no security here. Not gated. Lots of suspicious-looking vehicles, and many robberies. If the people here were nice and looked out for each other, it might not be such an unsafe neighborhood. But that brings me to my next point. So many unfriendly people who live here. Many won’t return a wave so I have given up. And then there are those who drive 2 inches off your bumper if you’re not driving fast enough. Neighbors, mind you. Speed limit is 30. I have to mention the dogs barking all night long, and many who don’t tether their dogs. They’re free to run around anywhere they please, including the road. One relatively new resident had two Yorkshire Terriers when he moved in and he left them outside. Eventually they either ran off or got picked off by coyotes. His solution? He got two Great Danes. Who are also outside and often run in the street. I tried to walk my dog with this invention called “a leash” but those Great Danes got out and jumped all over me and my dog, causing my pup to bleed. And if you use dogs as guardians, aren’t you supposed to look at what they might be barking at? All night long they bark. Why don’t I report this to the POA? Because membership is optional and they have NO POWER TO DO ANYTHING. And most likely won’t. There are deed restrictions, but there are constant and ongoing infractions everywhere. They often look the other way, depending on who is breaking the restriction. We bought a house here and a man built a house with a garage facing our pool just two years later. We expressed our concern to the POA even before the home was built, but they did nothing. Now we have a home resembling a Walgreens 20 feet from our property line with lights all over it on all night, every night. Shining right into all our bedrooms. So, thanks POA. Somewhere on this website it says Clear Springs Park is close to parks. Where are these parks? I would love to know. Worth mentioning is that the 281 expansion, while necessary, is going to be a real noisy, dirty nightmare and this subdivision is very, very close to all of it. If you have to drive north into San Antonio anytime in the next 5 years, good luck to you. It just started and will continue until 2022. All in all, we are very unhappy with this Neighborhood and wish we had read an honest review like this before we bought this house. If you’re a selfish, clueless, grumpy and nasty person. This is your neighborhood!
