VERY, VERY low opinion; I want to rate it a negative star but the option is not available!
The people who own/run this property cram as many trailers onto this land as they can. (It appears, to me, that, greed, is the watch word for the partners of the YES Corp.) This results in poor solid waste management. Too many people, etc. To me, this indicates poor planning on the part of the landowners (YES Corp). They want to generate as much revenue as possible for the partners. As a result, Dorchester County MUST make solid waste improvements for the subdivision. There has been no evidence of this having happened at this time. BUT..........
The management of this community is now passing on a lot rent increase to cover an increase in their annual tax for "Solid waste usage". Every renter living here already pays a monthly fee for solid waste usage.
This community is located within the town limits of Summerville, therefore, each renter (and homeowner, already pays a minimum of $24.00, per month, for solid waste usage. NOW, the management wants to up the lot rent because, "Dorchester County" has increased the Partners utility taxes paid on the property. Because most of the lots are "rented", this community is taxed as developed property, which includes, solid waste usage.
I have multiple issues with this increase: 1) Water pressure is HORRIBLE, 2) the commodes CONSTANTLY clog, indicating, 3) poor drainage (and POOR solid waste removal) with frequent flooding with heavy rains, 4) constant battles with mosquitoes, and 5) constant ant beds on the lot, oh, 6) parking issues, 7) kids playing in the streets with no disregard to traffic, 8) loud music playing in automobiles as they drive by, some even parked on the street, 9) unpredictable trash pick up, 10) uneven trailers resulting in doors that stick or don't stay closed at all. I could continue but it just gets more bleak.
Unfortunately, I fell into the trap of buying a refurbished trailer (that they sold to me as "brand new" - ???????), therefore, as a town of Summerville resident, I already pay a solid waste usage fee in my annual taxes: plus, I pay the monthly fee to Summerville Commissioners of Public Works. It appears, Dorchester County is being paid double, if not triple, for solid waste usage. Ummmm!!!!!!
Now, I am not used to being considered stupid or uninformed (nor a redneck) so, I resent the "increase in the utilities, taxes, insurance, and maintenance costs'" being passed onto me by the Creekside management and Partners, especially since, I AM, already, responsible for MY OWN utilities, taxes, insurance and maintenance!!
The management must have a very low opinion of our collective intelligence! I understand that desperate times call for desperate measures, however, I highly recommend people NOT rent from the YES Corp. I do not recommend living on this sinking property AT ALL!!!!
The management does not care about the residents as evidenced by, 99% of the time, they don't even answer the phone. The hours of operation on the office door have not been effective in a few years!
My strong recommendation: Run, don't walk, away from this place, as fast as you can!!! If you already live here, DON'T buy a refurbished trailer. They don't know what they are doing!!!
