A natural paradise

Cynthia H
I have lived in Crooked Creek since 1991, the longest I've lived anywhere! I enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings, fun neighbors, and excellent management (only 3 small assessments in 28 years!). The grounds, buildings and amenities are well maintained and the reserves fully funded. Almost all the residents are friendly and fun to socialize with. I will never move!

I discovered Crooked Creek while on a walk through Red Bug Slough. What a lovely community! We couldn’t be happier enjoying this little bit of paradise for the past 5 years. Friendly neighbors, dedicated volunteer board.

Hidden Gem

I’ve been associated with Crooked Creek for over 24 years, 10 as a visitor - loving it enough to become an owner 14 years ago. It is a community nestled in the outskirts of Sarasota. A perfect location in terms of convenience, but peaceful and beautifully natural. If you like serenity and nature it’s a great place to live. We are a small family like community that welcomes new neighbors and gathers together regularly. Proud and happy to be a Crooked Creek resident!

Lack of Maintenance and upkeep less than desired

Patrick M
Crooked Creek needs to get a facelift. Many residents complain because there are roof leaks and damage to their homes. The roads are a mess and in need of replacement. The repairs made left "bird baths" and the level of appearance is third rate. Neighbors need to get involved in the Board activity and tow the line to get the property up to par. Also the large fees with a lack of amenities is upsetting.
