Rogers Park Middle School

My daughter is very happy here. She’s a high honors student who feels challenged and supported by her teachers. Teachers always respond immediately to emails and are very invested in the students. Yes, it’s a diverse environment, but so is the real world.

As a parent, it can be very hurtful to see your child uncared for and overstressed. It is absolutely appalling that student bullying is not as abundant as teacher harassment. Yes, teachers at this school blatantly disrespect their students for their own pleasure. Although I am aware that there are some excellent teachers and staff at Rogers Park, many others care very little about the kids' success, as others have pointed out here. I would suppose that caring for your students is the essence to teaching, but evidently I do not share such beliefs with the staff there. My child is the kind of student that earns excellent grades and is very hardworking, so I find it unjust that his teachers treat him this way. I plan to transfer him to a different school as soon as possible, and I wouldn't wish the RPMS experience on my worst enemy.

This is easily the worst school I've every been too. The teachers seem to not care about their students or their jobs and the staff is ridiculously rude. Many other students have also told me that their have been SEVERAL fights throughout the years. They give so many detentions and suspensions for the most stupid things that the students here don't even see it as a punishment anymore. There's graffiti on the walls of the entrance, the lockers and walls are scratched up and falling apart, etc. Overall this school is just a mess and needs to be taken care of IMMEDIATELY. I recently just moved here and it's only the first month of school and we're all ready planning to transfer. What ever you do not send your child here.

As a student there are barley any fights. The food is disgusting you will be better off Bring home lunch. Most clusters work together except stem. Overall it's a great school
