It was okay I wish there was more diversity and they taught more about social justice and so on and so forth becuase most children are very misinformed

This school is an excellent school and I don't know what the other reviews are talking about. Smoking is a problem every where, if you don't like it then home school because you can't run from it. The school actually does have drug busts and smoking rarely ever occurs on school grounds. Also I have to say the teachers at regional are excellent. The majority are all willing to stay after and help when a student is in need and in most classes there are no problems. Its a smaller school so everyone is on a more personal level. There are those students who are problems, as are in every other school on the planet, but the teachers are all reasonable and actually want the student to succeed. If I were to point out one flaw of the school it would be the guidance counselors, the two that I have had haven't helped me with anything but set up my schedules, and when that occurred, one even messed up my profile with another students! They aren't as informed on the colleges that I'm interested, so I end up doing my own research. Other than that, the classes are phenomenal and I feel as if I'm being pushed to my potential each day and being prepared for college in the near future..

The problem here is the faculty. Some are focused on the students and helping them to achieve their full potential, the rest teach basic memorization and recitation. The worst teachers are the ones who focus solely on punishing those who misbehave by punishing the whole class, regardless of the other students behavior. One example of this behavior is my English teacher. One child in class could not manage to sit still and pay attention. He was constantly disturbing the class by talking to other students when the teacher was talking, throwing paper and pens at the teacher or other students, and using profane and vulgar language targeting other students or faculty members. Instead of the teacher reprimanding that student or removing him from the classroom, she continued to teach, much to the dismay of the other students who could not focus on or hear her lecture over the sounds emitted by this student. At the end of the period, she chose to objurgate the whole class and refuse to hand back an essay we had completed two weeks prior that was worth a large portion of our grade. She gave back the essay three days later, after the deadline to earn points back had passed.
