This school has been very frustrating because Cardozo has so much potential, but it will never be met with short sightedness and high turnover. Principal needs to go!

Sure we can all say that scores on test and junk don’t matter. That they are all just teachers teaching stuff we’ll never use. But they do reflect the school and how good the students are doing.

For those writing the high-star reviews here... you do realize that you're damning the school with faint praise, right? "The school has some AP classes" does not make a good public school. 75%+ of the kids who take AP classes *passing the AP tests* makes a good public school. Woodrow Wilson HS's pass rate is barely above 50%, and that's at the lower end of what would count as a good school. Only 17% of the kids at Cardozo who take AP tests pass the tests. That's LESS THAN ONE IN FIVE. If your kid was one of the lucky success stories, then great, I'm genuinely glad for you. But for those of us who want our kids in a school where their peers will all be expected to take a full AP courseload and pass every single AP test, Cardozo just isn't setting high enough standards for their kids. And by giving 4 and 5 star reviews to the school, you're helping the school administrators deceive themselves to think that the standards are high enough. They're not, and as parents whose kids would have gone to Wilson and had Wilson-level academic expectations now get routed into Cardozo, they're going to start feeling the heat to step up.

My son attended Cardozo Education Campus. He did very well there maintaining his presence on the honor roll for his entire high school period. He was a member of the TRANSTEM Academy where his great love for aviation was deepened. Cardozo offers a wealth of extra curricula activities, the teachers are caring and highly qualified and a number of AP classes are offered. My son got a wide exposure to a number of opportunities that he would otherwise not have been exposed to like summer scholarships to aviation camps, college tours, meeting infamous individuals in the transportation industry like Barrington Irving, and visiting a number of places like SouthWest Airlines headquarters and JetBlue. He participated in several meaningful activities and represented the school in different sports. And when he thought he wanted to divert from our high expectations, teachers were there to help mentor him. I am glad my son attended Cardozo despite a number of persons trying to dissuade him from attending. Yes there were some disruptive students and they are every where but he kept his focus and had our support. He is now successfully enrolled in Delaware State University majoring in aviation.
