The area also has some of the best tattoo parlors in town. If you’re in the mood for a fun way to burn calories, join hundreds of residents for the abundance of late-night marathons and moonlight bike rides the community enjoys hosting. Understandably, if you rather build your beer belly, then grab a few drinks at one of East Atlanta’s fine breweries, bar pubs, or lounges. Visitors could stop any resident on the street to gain an idea of what the it spots are to head to in the area and they will answer with welcoming arms.
The Perfect Sunday
Mark off things on your grocery list as you head on over to the EAV Farmers Market for locally grown foods. Get some air by enjoying the views from a rooftop cafe nearby and open-air performances by underground artist with acoustic sets. The culturally diverse community is also home to a crystal store, thrift shops, and vinyl record spots to browse through.
East Atlanta doesn’t directly connect to any MARTA trains, but buses are accessible. Zipcar, taxi, Lyft, and Uber are all available. Residents are easily able to begin their routes into the core of Atlanta with the Beltline trail.
