This is a quiet neighborhood that will have a more subdued feel on a Friday night. During the warmer months, people will be outside until the later hours in the night. You'll see locals out grabbing a bite to eat or enjoying some of the live music that several of the restaurants bring in. For those looking for a more active nightlife, Uptown is a few miles to the west.

It's not unusual for locals to be enjoying all the neighborhood has to offer. The parks are filled with sporting events and the local restaurants are filled with residents looking to relax and eat. The parks will be busy on Sundays as locals look to enjoy the temperate southern weather.

Echo Hills is several miles away from center city and the Interstate 277 uptown ring. The farther to the west people live, the closer to Uptown people will be. Those who live closer to the northern edge of Echo Hills will be able to reach highway 74 quickly, which is useful if they work outside of the city. There are plenty of parks and green spaces closer to the south of Echo Hills.

Echo Hills has a nice variety of restaurants for people to choose from. One of the more popular steakhouses in the area is called Gus's Sir Beef Restaurant. Sitting on Monroe Road, this restaurant always has some of the premier cuts of beef in the neighborhood. Oakhurst Grill is a popular choice for the locals, serving up traditional American fare. Echo Hills is a great neighborhood for those with a more adventurous palate, as the neighborhood is host to Ethiopian, vegan, and hibachi cuisine.
