I would give the school an 8.

I have a daughter who is a senior now and another daughter who graduated from East Bay. The staff is lazy. Whenever I go to the office or call inexperienced students try and help while administrators sit and eat continuously. Teachers often get mad when students ask questions or they roll their eyes. They lose papers and fail to post grades. My daughter is dual enrolled in HCC and what a difference. HCC is 100% better; she completed one semester and has a 4.0. There is also a drug and bullying problem at East Bay. My daughter told my she has seen students smoke pot in the classroom and nothing was done. I have smelled pot in the halls.

I am a senior at East Bay High and I have attended East Bay since I was a freshman. There is no school I would have rather gone to. This school has great programs and caring teachers, like Mr. Brian NeSmith, Mrs. Krista Blanchette, and Ms. Wade. Ms.Wade is an amazing english teacher, if you work hard and be respectful you will succeed and if you fall behind she helps you recover, she cares about her students and each of their futures. Mr. NeSmith is the choral director and he is wonderful at his job, he is kind and full of school spirit that spreads through anyone he talks to. Mrs. Blanchette is our theatre director and she is one of the strongest people I have every had the pleasure of meeting, she won't be soft on you she will tell you exactly what you are doing wrong but the main thing is that she will also tell you how to get it right. I have been in the choral and drama department since freshman year and they have given me the best memories and taught me so much and yes this school does have some issues but honestly tell me what high school doesn't? I don't believe there is any place better to send your student.
