I have lived in three states and three different school districts with my children in public schools and this is the worse school we have experienced. The communication between school and parent is nonexistent. My daughter went through more than a dozen substitute teachers with no word from the school. When I complained about the lack of stability for my daughter they did nothing. She received ungraded homework back, her reading log and homework notebook has not been graded since January (It is now April) yet she got good grades on her report card? This morning was the last straw when I told them she had a doctors appointment and they told me she had testing today. (No information was sent to me concerning this and nothing in the weekly phone call). So I was told that she would have to wait in the office until I picked her up. If I was working, she would have waited 2 and a half hours and they didn't even care. When I picked her up no adult was in the office. She was unsupervised. Horrible school. We will be moving out of this district in June so my daughter can go to a school that cares. This is her second year here and it is only getting worse.

My grandson started this school 2012 in kindergarten he was below the acceptable and not ready for kindergarten , due to family problems. Mrs J oh son was an excellent teacher she assisted getting him tutors for what his weaknesses were and he well surpassed expectations . He continued on in 1 grade and once again shined. I feel this is an excellent school and the YMCA after school program is fantastic as well . This school is ranked too low for the care and education I have seen given. Btw.who cares if the principle calls herself DR as long as she does her job love this school and the no bully policy from my observation works and is held to task go Gators

My daughter started kindergarten this year, and we were so fortunate that she had a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Boehme. She made our daughter's transition as easy as possible and the growth in her education is amazing! The staff at the school is friendly and it is nice to see the principal visible at all events and actively participating. I was disappointed that there was no PTA, but glad to see they are trying to develop a new one. Communication with the teacher is fantastic, but from the school leaves a lot to be desired. Website is not updated consistently, and there is no format. (i.e. info updated in newsletter, but not on calendar). There are weekly recorded calls home, but more about covey habits, so not always listened to. You can tell they are trying to improve and their heart is in the right place, but still needs some work.

my school is Fuguitt elementary school. I find the teaching staff at the school very helpful and respectful. My daughter Is a tough child to get her to do any work. Mrs Pyle helped her so much in kindergarden with extra help and Mrs Bagley was great.. Mrs Rafferty was also great with my daughter Finally at the near end of school my daughter got the whole picture of schoolwork and completing it.Her teacher was very proud of her . I do agree with the other parents about a principal calling herself a doctor. I realize that it is a major achievement. but in school she should just be principal not doctor
